Imagine your surprise and horror when in a time of need you fetch your car or garage medical kits and find all of your adhesives (medical tape and band-aids) are absolutely worthless.That is what can, and often does happen when our medical adhesives become old. This is what WILL happen when they are exposed to several months of summer heat in places like the trunk of your car.
It is advisable to check samples of each once summer has given way to cooler temperatures. Just take a band-aid of each size (and brand) and try to apply it to yourself. If they have lost their "stick’um,” consider chucking them in the trash and resupplying from a newer source.A couple minutes of precaution could save a lot of grief. We all know that a wound properly protected could save someone from major infections and a nasty scar.
