How to lose 10 pounds in a minute!
Answer: The Scarf Skinny. Wear a long scarf of supple, draping fabric that hangs to, or past your hips. This creates a 2/3 to 1/3 body proportion…an illusion of length and height that slenderizes the body!
This long scarf also hides extra pounds held in a fuller front torso. A jacket or long loose T is needed to disguise lumps in the rear torso, most common in the apple shaped body. For an even stronger thinning effect, continue the lengthening by wearing a hat, bringing the attention to the face as discussed in our last blog: Hat Magic. Hats also solve those bad hair days!

Notice: Look how plain these outfits appear, whether sporty or casual, without the addition of an accessory. Since scarves are so popular, abundant in stores, and cost effective…wear them now and on into summer. They cover chilly arms on cool evenings, add style and trim pounds off your body. Some scarves here, range between $5 and $10. Others shown, are more expensive, but have been in my wardrobe for more than 20 years! When it comes to cost per wear, I'd say I've gotten my monies worth - wouldn't you?
Beware: Avoid wearing scarves in fine, stiff, or heavy fabric that don’t drape well. Also, avoid scarves that hang much shorter than to your hips. These scarf errors could actually ADD 10 pounds to your body!
