Evaluating Your Packing Techniques

Evaluation and refine when you get home
When you get home from a trip take a few minutes to review what did and didn’t work on your last trip. Some things to think about are: items to add to your travel cards, food that worked well for car/airplane snacks, games that kept your kids entertained. Also note companies used that you would use again. For example, any time we fly to Disneyland we always use the same company for shuttling us from the airport to the hotel. I have their contact information noted on a card and it simplifies the booking process for me.
Stay packed as much as possible
As finances allow pick up duplicates of items you pack so they can remain packed and be ready to go all the time. The types of items I suggest to keep packed are: dental hygiene items for the whole family (no more forgotten toothbrushes), cosmetics, brushes, hair gel and hair spray, sun screen, shampoo and conditioner, bug spray, certain medications, etc. I always keep a packed toiletry bag under my bathroom sink so I can "grab and go” easily.
