How often do you replace toilet paper rolls?
It’s actually really helpful as a mom to get clear sense of how fast as roll is consumed in each of your bathrooms. For example, always buy the Charmin Mega rolls and I know that one of those rolls will last about 1 week in our powder/guest bath and 2-3 weeks in our kids bathroom (only one kiddo who is potty trained and it’s a boy = less TP usage). I found this information out by writing the date on the inside of the roll before I put it out. Then when I took the empty roll off I could check the date and see how long it lasted. This is helpful because when TP goes on sale I can stock up sensibly because I know how much it will take to keep my house supplied for the next 1,2,3,6,etc months. This same concept can be applied to any number of household items: toothpaste, shampoo, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, contact solution, etc. Just jot the date on the package the day you begin using it and check the date again before you throw the package away. Trust me, you will be surprised how long some things last and how quickly other items go.
